The Good News

Our purpose is greater than building homes.

Have you heard The Good News? The news that there is a narrow path that leads to salvation? The news that we don't need to bear the weight of this world alone? The news of a love that abounds greater than any other love this world can offer? The news of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

The Good News is the Gospel of Jesus Christ, the one and only Son of God who was sent down from heaven to die for our sins.

The Gospel is a collection of four testimonies (Matthew, Mark, Luke and John) in the New Testament that document the real-life events of the life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Tim Tebow once said, "The Gospel is the greatest love story and rescue mission of all time." In short, there's not a better way to put it.

I'm sure you've heard someone say before that they would die for the person they love the most. We're rarely put in situations where this is put to the test. But what if you were told that you are loved so much, someone actually did pay the ultimate price and died for you? This is what happened on the cross approximately 2,000 years ago. It's the most documented historical event in human history, and it's the greatest love story and rescue mission of all time.

Originally built in the 4th century by Emperor Constantine the Great, it has stood as a beacon of Christian faith for over 1,700 years.

Questions you may have

If you're hearing this for the first time, or you haven't put your faith in Jesus yet, you could have a lot of questions. We've done our best to cover some of them.

Why would Jesus need to die for me?

Have you heard the story of Adam and Eve and the fruit that was eaten from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil? From the very first humans that walked the earth, sin was brought into the world. Sin is the evil of this world that we try our best to fight off every day. The problem is that it's a never-ending battle. The solution is that Jesus won the battle over sin by dying for us. His death washes away our sins in the eyes of God the Father, as long as we put our faith in Him.

How can He love someone who wasn't even born yet when He died?

In John 8:58 Jesus says, "Before Abraham was, I am." Jesus is stating that He was here before the prophet Abraham walked the earth, about 2,000 years before He said it. In Revelation 1:8 Jesus says, "I am the Alpha and Omega." Alpha and Omega are the first and last letters of the Greek alphabet, so He is saying He was here from the very beginning and will be here at the very end. Whether we're talking about someone born yesterday, today or tomorrow, He loves all of us because He knows all of us from the beginning to the end of time.

How do I put my faith in Jesus Christ?

In John 3:16 Jesus says, "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life." This is by far the most important verse in the New Testament. It tells us without a doubt what we must do to have eternal life in heaven with God. Your first step is to say it with your mouth and believe it in your heart: "Jesus, I give you my life, come into my heart, wash away my sins. I believe you died on the cross and resurrected for my salvation. I dedicate my life to you for now and forever. Amen."

Surrounded by flowering plants and ancient stone pathways, it offers a space for peaceful reflection and worship.

"Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."
